Initiatives

Each year, WAE hosts annual events to benefit both the students and community.

WAE Day:

WAE Day is an event that allows female and non-binary high school students to explore the aerospace engineering field through hands-on design activities, lab tours, student panels, and talks from professors. WAE works alongside GWAE to host this event.

WiSTEM Week:

WiSTEM week serves to celebrate Women in STEM at MIT and beyond. Current students are given oportunities for development, education, and networking with industry and acedemia professionals. WAE works alongside SWE, WiEECS, UWIP, and WICXII to host this event.

Girl's Day at MIT Museum:

WAE participates in Girl's Day by educating girl's on current topics and technology in aerospace engineering.

Professional Development:

WAE hosts events and supports members in various ways, including sending members to the annual Society of Women Engineers National Conference.
