Founded in 2014, MIT Women in Aerospace Engineering is dedicated to fostering a community among women interested in pursuing careers in aerospace. Additionally, the group seeks to reach out to younger girls and encourage them to pursue STEM fields. To fufill our mission, WAE strives to accomplish three main goals:
- Academic and professional development and peer mentorship among WAE members within MIT
- Building a support network and partnerships with MIT graduate students and alumni and industry professionals
- Hands-on outreach to young women to encourage the pursuit of aerospace engineering and other STEM fields.
